How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone’s serial number, key in the following digits on your phone:

* # 0 6 #

A 15-digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your

handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. when your phone get

stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They

will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the

SIM card, your phone will be totally useless.

    The code or IMEI no. is also printed on the white strip at the side of the box your cellphone was packaged in.

      Vivek,
      Best way to disable your stolen/lost cellphone is to talk to your Service Provider, give them the IMEI and request that they disable this IMEI number via their system. Should not be a problem for them to do for you.

      i suggest you ask the store where you bought your phone who the service provider for the telephone you bought was. Bring your receipt.
      or you can call telephone companies in your country. check the yellow pages.

      have to tried to get help from the store where you bought that phone? they should be able to help you.
      if not try writing or calling the ISP (internet service provider) who sold you the phone go to visit head
      or customer service and tell him your problem also deserves his attention they are the isp use.
